Force a Smile
W/M by Tharek Mokbul

-Lyrics-
When the world is in battle,
It grows hard to see,
The fights that occur within lines.

Constant distraction dispensed
From the top
 of the castle
With oil down its sides.

All of the effort
now wasted inVain.
The anarchy has been prescribed.

Now all of you people ,
So classless in spring,
Know not how you have been deceived .

Know not how you have been deceived.

Equal to only the fish in your pond,
The sharks have shut down
All The streams.

And while we nip tails,
and forget Countless days,
Our children will poison the lake

For we are the reason why we hate our life.
Your eyes don't match either side.
One sees the trouble and taints where you gaze.
The other stays closed whilst you cry.

Through all the torture, we cheer either side. Caught up in the lies that we feed.

Fodder for masters, that pull on our strings. We find that our scissors are blunt.

We find our scissors won't cut.

Really great song with regard to the fest. Hit the nail right on the head. Acoustic guitar, vocals, straightforward music, and lyrics with a message. Pete Seeger would be proud.

Really great.

Excellent songwriting Tharek...really enjoyed this.

Lyrically alot to digest here...pretty deep stuff! Your vox are better than ever and the guitar is sweeet!

Pete Seeger is still alive i believe...gotta be in his 80's for sure...quite a life story there

Really nice job on this one...solid from end to end...great listen

This is a genuine protest song in the traditions of the 60s. It's the lyrics that make this one for me, coupled with the simple and honest performance. Very well done Tharek, great stuff.

Cheers,

Nigel
