ok, this is a microtonal song, im not sure exactly, how many notes per octave. chris vasvil wrote this, he did the bass, guitars, background vocals. the lyrics are from a friend of his, i think chris wrote this in the 90's. im doing drums and vocals. vocals arent too good, but 1. i was never a vocalist so im not even sure where or what my singing voice is yet, 2. microtonal singing i've never done before, if i am even doing it here, i dont know. aside of my mistakes it's a very interesting piece.

Sharing dreams and fantasies
 secret lives we'll never lead

knowing where we've been before
we dont need keys to open doors

sunshine sparkles in your eyes
keeps me floating keeps me alive

rains falls but I don't feel rain
again and again you save me from pain

loves calls there's only one voice I hear
I know you're coming closer cause I feel no fear

days gone
 return again
 not just to haunt us
 but to clue us in
love lost, now my life is gone
everything must end, even my song

I dig this man, your vocals sound great! Is he playing an actual micro-tonal guitar? Pretty cool stuff.
Rock on!

yes from what i gather it is 17 npo (notes per octave) on his guitar and his bass. i add to some of his microtonals, but my own music i stick to 12 npo. my bass and guitar skills arent not recovered enough to even attempt anything more than 12 npo. chris has altered a few guitars and at least one bass for microtonal music.

Vaisvil

that is the 17 note per octave axe I used. I had a luthier re-fret a cheap imitation strat for me.

It is great working with you again Frank!

The song was written only a few days ago. The lyrics come from the 90's. The guitar I used here is my first microtonal axe.

Very interesting indeed.

Sound like some of Zappa's more experimental stuff.

I like it !

And the performance is fabulous !

I've never heard of or heard a microtonal guitar...at least not that I'm aware of. This sounds cool...17 npo is very unique and I can see and hear how that would expand one's experimental mind. Great collaboration guys!

Cool number with an interesting dissonance to it. Organic feel big time!

Way to reach out and beyond reality!

Vox sound pretty good to me, and the drums are amazing. This is very innovative and great use of a different musical style. Challenging, but in a really good way. In fact, the more I hear, the more I like the vox, I think they are great, especially the ending. Excellent work.

Cheers,

Nigel
