Adding the mini MP3 player:

Now you can also put an MP3 player like the one I did here. After you have posted your song normally using the attachment feature, return back to the thread and do this:

1. Copy the MP3 attachment link by pressing it with the right button of your mouse and choosing Copy shortcut/link.

2. Press the modify thread button.

3. Press the mp3 button.

4. Paste the link between the  tags. Like this [mp3=200,20,0,center]Here[/mp3] exactly where it says Here.

5. It will look like this: [mp3=200,20,0,center]http://microrecorders.org/community/post-your-work/tecno-br/0/?action=dlattach;attach=74[/mp3]
6. Press Save.

Have fun!

The Mini-MP3 player was an excellent add! I was having trouble to download some of the songs and now I can listen to the material with just one click!

All the posts must have this device attached!

I don't see the modified thread link??? I looked and I don't have an icon like the one you posted anywhere.

I also can't figure out how to copy the URL and paste it in-between the mp3 link???

Help please!

You'll find the Modify icon at the top-right of your message between the Quote and Remove icons just to the right of the message Subject. They'll look something like this:

Quote Modify Remove

The Modify and Remove icons only appear on messages which you've posted. You can't modify or remove other people's messages.

QuoteI also can't figure out how to copy the URL and paste it in-between the mp3 link???

You can't copy the URL from a new, un-posted message while you're creating it. You have to first attach your file to the message and post it. After you've posted your message, you'll see the attachment at the bottom of your message. Here's an example of a message with an attachment called "head over heels.MP3".

When you right-click on "head over heels.MP3", you'll get a context menu that looks something like this (depending on which web browser you use):

Select "Copy Link Location" (or "Copy Shortcut" if you're using Internet Explorer). This puts the link in the Windows clipboard.

Now edit your message by clicking the Modify icon described above.

When you click the MP3 Player icon, it will insert the following into your message:

[mp3=200,20,0,center][/mp3]

Paste the link from the Windows clipboard right after the first "]".

For example, the URL for your attachment in the message "A rehashing of an old idea (- bass)" is:

http://songcrafters.org/community/post-your-work/a-rehashing-of-an-old-idea-(-bass)/0/?action=dlattach;attach=1349

so the MP3 Player code should look like this:

[mp3=200,20,0,center]http://songcrafters.org/community/post-your-work/a-rehashing-of-an-old-idea-(-bass)/0/?action=dlattach;attach=1349[/mp3]

That's it. Just click the Save button to save the changes to your message, then try the MP3 player.
