Here is a cover of Hazel Oconnors will you. This song is very special to me as it brings back so many memories of the early 80s. It is one of my favourite tracks of all time.

I didnt know if it would come off replacing saxaphone with guitar, you make your mind up.

I have wanted to cover this song for ages but until a twelve months ago I never attempted to play lead. Three of us used to hire a room for jamming, then the lad who played lead changed musical interests and stopped coming. This forced one of us to start playing lead and I got the short straw....

It is all done on the BR using an Ibanez grg and a legacy bass.

1 track bass
3 tracks guitars (rhythm guitars doubled and a lead)
1 vox

And a lot of patience.

There are a couple of bum notes but comments would be appreciated.

A classic (and favourite) track. This is a hard one to attempt, so I take my hat off to you. It's really well done, and the guitar hits the spot for the sax part. Excellent stuff!

Love this song, I strum it quite a lot when I drag the acoustic out. You did a good job on it mate. Maybe you should have detuned a tad as you are stretching for the high notes, a problem I have all the time with my excuse for a vocal range  >:(, and the bass was a bit loud in the mix, but the guitar worked just fine for the sax part, wish I had thought of doing it this way ... nice one  ;D

Took what you said on board steve. Remixed and cut back on the bass and re recorded the vox which is a tad better (squeezed me legs together) ;D.  Overall cheers for the feedback and you were right it does sound better with less bass.....
