I put together this drum arrangement on my way to work today so I could have something to jam with later this week, but I thought it might be interesting to see what other people do with it. I made it using a combination of effects and messing with the beats per minute on each measure. It's got a bit of a dance hall feel to it, but feel free to record whatever comes to you.

At the moment I am calling it Dig Dug.

Here's a quick and dirty jam.  I used the stock vocal delay2 mic effect set to the master location to "bounce" everything.  Needs more parts and better "bass" line.  ::)

Fun stuff and pushed me in a different direction than usual which is good for getting out of a learning rut.  :P

Hey! That's really good! There's some great playing on there, hardlock. Sounds much more than just a 'jam'.

The drum tone and pattern (especially at the very start) is very similar to 'Trans-Europe Express' by Kraftwerk. It has that same slightly jerky train rhythm. It's a really good drum track  :)

Nice collaboration guys!

hardlock,
Very cool! Very tasty riffs. It is so interesting to listen to because it is very different than anything that I had in my head when I was working on the beat.

Thanks guys, good times!  Looking forward to hearing other takes on the drum track.

Hey, anyone else having trouble getting email notifications?  I stopped getting any and have the preferences set correctly.   ???
