Final mix?

Hi!

I'm thinking of buying the Boss Micro BR...

Can anyone tell me, how much can you alter the volume of each track, when you mix the final song? I mean can you set the track volume from 0-10, or 0-100, or so on?

I don't own a computer, so I can't transfer the song to a computer for editing. So, I must buy a machine that works even without a computer...

I hope you can understand my question...English is not my language...  :)

Anyway, thanks for any answers!

Mr. Scar

no need for a computer, you can do everything on the BR. Each track volume goes from 0-120.

Thanks! That's great to know! I guess it's obvious that it's more than say 0-10, but I just wanted to make sure before I buy one.

Mr. Scar

yeah, the br is really pretty cool. you can fade out or pan a track while it's mastering down to stereo. i think you can even mess with a tracks reverb while mastering.

Hello there Recnick and welcome to the forum!

Like Mr.Scar said you can alter it from 0 to 120. 100 is default volume, so more than that is boosting the volume, lower than that is cuting.

Don't worry not having a computer, you absolutely don't need one. You just need good ideas and time to record them.

PS: Your english is good!

Thank you! This is a great forum!

I'm just a little bit worried about these things...sometimes it seems like a computer is needed for everything.

It's a rather big investment for me, so I want to have all the information I can before I buy one. I have been using my old tape-4-track recorder for over ten years now, so I guess it will be a big change. I have grown to like my old 4-tracker, although the sound is...well you know.

Hope that I can actually learn how to use the new technology...

Pedro

Yes and that's the right thing to do, read everything you can and don't waste money. Micro BR is a 4-track recorder but with a great sound quality and a very cool thing, no bouncing losses. Plus all the other things like effects, rhythm, things like that.
