So my new micro br had a few issues, and i just fixed the last issue with incredible help I got from people on this forum.  ;D

BUT, one of the problems I had last time has come back.

I finally got two 2 GB SD cards in the mail for my br. But, I went to record something and it tells me the card is full. I have 2 Gigs of space, empty space. I don't have any idea what to do. Again. And it kept freezing up. So I just pulled the batteries and started it up agian. Meanwhile it freezes up while the "song" is loading (mind you there are no songs on it now) so a little advice would be great. thanks. you guys are such a great help.

I don't have the Micro br, but I have the BR900 and I know you need to INITALIZE a new card. Should be able to access though the UTILITY menu. Also, I've heard some brands of cards are incompatible, but I've never had that problem. Hopefully, you can  initalize it and that will do the trick?!

According to the manual the MBR can read up to 1GB memory cards.
I went to the store and tried 2GB (I wanted to check before buying) my MBR denied to work at all. So I think this may be the problem. On 1GB card there is no problem.

Yeah I wouldn't go over the 1GB limit from the BR manual. I have read other places that even if you get a 2GB card to work, the BR will only recognize it as 1GB and no more.

the original card had some issues too. It wouldn't even let me export a song when it told me my card was full. Well, I just checked it out, and the 2 GB cards aren't even listed. So although I got the SanDisk Ultra II, it looks like i have some extra memory for my camera. Unless somebody wants it.  :)
I guess its back to Ebay, i'll go find another card.
thanks for all the help!

Before you do that, back up the original card on the PC, then reformat it on the MBR. Do a few tracks of whatever and master them, just to see if it all works. You cannot master a song if the card is full as it needs space to do that.

Just picking through my manual last night and thought I'd mention this...Try page 126 "Error Messages" in the manual. "Card Full!" is on there.  Have you tried any of that stuff?
