Twitter - who's on it, who gets it?

Think it is mostly just another advertising medium,
for the slow of brain power types who actually read all the junk flying by.

Same goes for facebook, except that one became quite useless over time now it is just spam, spam, zenga games, and spam , much like that myspace mess.

i left myspace cause it got too young and youngsters bothering you asking why you're there. so i went to fb.
i dont get spam, i dont play games or do pokes, dumb stuff like that. but i have found friends i havent seen since childhood, friends form grammar school and HS, which i would have never found if it weren't for that site, not for free anyways.
i dont post what i do or eat or who i date, i never put in my credit card info, no ID's nor anything like that. if you know what you're doing, you wont give up more info than you want.
also making friends from all over the world, how can that be bad, and it is not too different than what we have here. except it is more refined here and mostly musicians. i would never use twitter, having a post limit of barely a sentence or 2 doesnt cut it. as you can see by my comments here.
so to just post what i do everyday, no, i dont even do that on FB why would i do it there. so, no! twitter has no use for me. and with FB, not only can i network with other musicians, i can also post my music. good place to have an audience. and i dont have several hundred friends who i dont know on my friends list

similiarly one could say this is also mindless blabber, not that i do, but i chat, type, socialize here as well as FB.
as far as uses? i found childhood friends ive not seen since 60's and 70's, found HS friends, some family members, some old teachers. and it has been quite an uplifting experience since till the internet, i figured i'd never see many of these people again the rest of my life. sure some you dont want to see, find etc, but what about those you would like to?

Nope and... nope!

I was on Facebook for 30-45 minutes a year or so ago, and then I thought "bugger this" when I couldn't figure out how to set it up and restrict what people could see... so removed myself again.

I was on MySpace for a few years due to my niece, who thought it was cool/valid way to communicate. I left it when I discovered she'd left for the apparently cooler world of Facebook.

Call me an old luddite, but I think it's all a bunch of @rse. And what the feck's an "app"?!?

I don't want any of this stuff, I actively do not want it - but I fear that I will have to embrace it in order not to get cut off from society and services...

I'm holding out as long as I can!!

FB is simple, just dont use any apps, they only want personal info anyways, and most of it seems to be for younger people anyways. i dont use any nor play any games they have. and also people i know put up articles i might not have run across and can be usefull, and again to netowrk with musicians, and also put your music on there for a lot of people to hear.
