It's awesome brother the harmonies are so tight (as always) and when that lap steel hits it really makes the tune!
Well done and good luck!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

I write while I'm listening 3rd time. the song is a real beauty (at 1:47 there's really amazing solo), heartbreaking in some moves. I would lower a bit the volume of vocal harmonies when they're too near to the first voice, cause in my ear cause a bit of confusion those 3rd intervals in the low pitch (that's very personal! LOL - just consider it ;-). I wish you best luck, this song really deserve it!

Thanks Mark! Not yet...the contest got extended by a week. I won't know for at least another week or so. If I don't win it's no big deal...at least it got me motivated enough to get this song recorded.

A beautiful song Farrell.
Love the lyrics.

That guitar is miced perfectly.
That lap steel sounds sweet and the drummer did you a solid.

It's a winner to my ears...
Good luck

That's a great song and you deserve to do well.
You gave some very useful tips on micing up the acoustic guitars and how to pan them and eq. Thanks for that.
The song is well played by all, the lap does add character, and Frank's drumming nice and tight. The vox and lyrics are always a stand out with your songs and this time it is not an exception.
Hope you get the favourable result shortly.

Oh yes. This is spot on. So clean and uncluttered... an arrangement that lets the songwriting shine through. You deserve some success with this, that's for sure. But even if you don't win, you have a real peach of a song in the can. A great Friday afternoon listen!

Well the Country Music Song Contest judging was tonight and Girl In Denver
didn't even make the top 15....bummer! There were over 40 entries. At the last minute
and on a whim I submitted another country song of mine called True Blue Cowboy and it took 5th place,
lol...go figure....but it was just 1st place money....so no cigars. Thanks for all the support guys!
