Nice song and guitar work Bobtail! I can only echo what everyone else said about the Santana vibe and the distortion clipping. With the rhythm guitar you  might try removing (roll off or shelve at 200 hz on down) the low EQ. It won't remove the distortion because it's there forever but it might give just a bit more clarity to the rhythm guitar and maybe make it less noticeable.....or not. It's an easy thing to try.

Thanks for the good advice fellas.

I tryed what you suggested Farrell and it made it a bit better but  yeah, the distortions still there but it is better.Maybe I will record it again oneday when I run out of ideas for other songs.Maybe a 15 minute Santana style guitar solo. ! ;)

Its not all bad when you make a mistake because you learn from it.I seem to pick up a couple of new things on recording every time I make a song which can only be good.

Cheers   :)

I Really Like this on my small speakers!

Superb Playing!

I Agree with Henny's Advice. Sometimes it is worth watching the levels rather than doing it by ear alone. Diifferent headphones all give a different sound. It is hard to get it right by ear. LED's don't Lie, whilst headphones often tweak your sound when you are listening.

I Really like the way this turned out though. Latin Flair all over it!

Hi,
I finally got around to fixing up the clipping on the rythum guitar track by re- recording it.
Taught me a good lesson ,not to have my levels too high  :(.I can always increase them when mixing.

Administrators- Could I replace the old " Mango Smoothy" with the fresh one ,in my members jukebox please.

Cheers.

Done.  For future reference, you can do it yourself. Instead of re-posting the new mix, just edit your original message, un-check the old attachment, save the message, then edit it again and attach the new mix.
