This is a crusty love song where I attempt to create a 50's style dark corner grinder.  It seems to have, IMO, a boring beat, but then again I am too close to the work.  It is a simple ditty I created.  Vic
P.S. I made a major change to vox volume per comment below.

Krasi

I really like the beat!!! It's groovy and yes, it has that oldie feeling. If I was you, i would only try to smoothen  the vox. It rings too powerful in my earphones.

Hey, thanks, Krasi.  I noticed the vox seemed loud, but not THAT loud.  They were hard to mix because I am pretty hard of hearing and because I had to whisper them while my wife was in the kitchen and I (1) didn't want her to blurt out "Are you talking to me?" or even worse (2) bust out laughing at my feeble attempts off-key, flat and bad altogether in trying to sing this.  I wanted someone to sing it, but couldn't get any takers.  Now that I have "sung" it, they won't likely touch it with a ten foot pole.  The editing was too lower the vox by 6 or 8 db.  Vic

Krasi

Oh you did lower the vox ;D Definitely sounds better now - I liked also the solo instrument that kicks at 1:49!

Yes, I lowered the vox and 2 or 3 editing cycles back I upped the volume of the instrument at 1:49 so it could white out the back beat which needed something to make the music multi-level (like 3D) and I needed something crisp, clear and in the same vein It was loop in_nylon48.  It won out over a couple hundred others I listened to, LOL.

Hey Vic I really enjoyed this ballad - it's almost mainstream, but just oddball enough for me to tell it's still you! A steady beat and melody??? You listening to your kids again? Very nice song

thanks, guys.   It was an earnest effort.  Steady beats?  Wait till I finish my next one.
