still trying to tame the ukelele

3 tracks of uke and one of vox, still trying to tame the onboard mic.

i shouldn't happen in a month of sundays
but i can see it coming straight towards me
i stand my ground and it goes right through me
goes right through me
i toss a coin and i pray forgiveness
it's just my luck and i've got no business
having dreams on a rainy day

having dreams

things take a turn even further downhill
i've lost my heart and my hope and my will
i hang my head in shame
so i try again to pick myself back up
try pretend it's just a little hiccup
i have a dream on a rainy day

have a dream

maybe things will look better in the morning
i'm unprepared i never got no warning
i've had the wind knocked out my sails
i'll go to sleep and lay my head down
lock the door try to block out the sound
have a dream on a rainy day

have a dream

Ted

With some trepidation, may I ask if there is an influence of The Police in your uke output so far?

Very nice layering.

Hook

Damn this is so cool! I hear sam Andy Summers going on also Ted, so it's either on purpose or one of those unconscious influences! Great lyrics, superb song!
Rock on!

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

This is good! Most ukulele players just seem to strum chords, so I love how you've got that little riff going on. Reminds me a little bit of Led Zeppelin's "The Battle Of Evermore". Not the same tune but a similar style. Well done.

Wooaahh!!

Sounds fecking great, those layered Ukes kind of create a Baroque sound, very classical.

So you've has an Argos special for a day or two and your coming up with this............................git! ;D
