Here's a classic hard rocker that Gary Hart and I wrote for a song contest in 2009....under the name of Jackson Hart. We took 2nd place and won $500 worth of recording gear. Gary Hart - all guitars. Phil Robertson - Drums. Geoff Tave - Bass. Farrell Jackson - lyric, melody, all vocals, mix and mastering. It feels good to rock! New 2021 mastering by LANDR.

Gypsy Princess

(V1) She was Gypsy Princess that lived years ago
She loved to dance and tease, until that final show

(Chr) Now her brown skin never glows, she lives between dark and light
She looks for love in the night, to live a moment in twilight

(V2) He was a famous Baron, a hundred years ago
He held the kiss of death, that ended journeys home

Ahhhhhhhhhh................

(Brdg) There's no light in their darkness, they can never die
They live for the night's carress, with blood thirsty eyes
One look from the vixen, with long dark hair
And you walk into..... the Baron's nightmare lair.

(V3) They play their deadly games, and feast on the innocent
They look for love and substance, but regrets are all they get

(Chr) Now their pale skin never glows, they live between dark and light
They look for love in the night, to live a moment in twilight

(solo)

Ahhhhhhhhhhh......................

(2nd brdg) Jimmy was a brave soul, he threw caution to the wind
A new partner every night, in the darkest of dens
He found the Gypsy Princess....or she found him
He followed her scent.......it was just another sin

(V4) Jimmy was inside the lair, on a limb without a prayer
One thing they didn't know, Jimmy was a Vampire slayer

(Chr) Now their pale skin never glows, nothing between dark and light
No more love in the night, no more moments in twilight

(Coda) No more moments in darkness, no more victims in the night
No more moments in darkness, no more moments in twilight

This the heaviest song i`ve heard you on so far. This up my alley furiously good!

Let me guess, first prize was a pop song? Maybe i don`t wanna know. :-X

Thanks Gnasty! The song that won was an excellent, top shelf guitar instrumental (think Santana/Satriani). First prize was a 3k custom guitar....but we did beat the pop songs, lol.
