This tune was originally performed by Steppenwolf.

The times were appropriate for it.

Once again, Trevor has amazed and dazzled me with his outstanding vocals.

Another trip down Memory Lane.

Vocals  - Trevor Smith
Guitars - Gene Burrell
Bass     - Gene Burrell

Thank you, Gnasty.

Hoyt Axton actually wrote this song.

The only version I ever heard was by Steppenwolf, in 1968, although it has been covered by several bands since John Kay did his thing with it.

On man Regs and Speed Demon, this is such a fantastic version of The Pusher! This is my favorite all time Steppenwolf song....I wore that "gawd damn" track's groves deep on the album and busted the tape on my 8 track car stereo listening to this song. I knew they didn't write it but I had forgotten it was actually Hoyt Axton (great songwriter) that did. Speed Demon your guitar work hits the bulls-eye and Regs vox are the best! Thanks for the trip guys...I'm going in for another toke!

Thank you, gentlemen.

Trevor worked his magic on this song, and elevated it to another level.

I wonder if I could entice him into doing the vocals on a Hendrix cover?

What a performance! I'm not familiar with the original. I would have guessed that the vocals were improvised, and that this was a live recording.

I know there are some killer drummers lurking around here.
If anyone would be interested in adding a real drum track to this song, you are most welcome.
Holler at me.
