What about bass playing? Funnily enough, I use my pinky more when I play bass, but that's probably because I have small hands so on a bass I have to use four fingers more to reach some of the notes.

Don't forget, some bass players use 10 fingers as well:

Levin is amazing in this track, but then so are the rest of the band. Fripp and Belew are two of my favourite guitarists.

Do it Jim, they are easy to play and will give you some new ideas. And if you use power chords with drop D tuning, you will be the Foo Fighters!

Quote from: Ferryman on January 24, 2012, 01:22:11 AMthe younger guitarist was amazed that all my chords were full barre - he said don't you use power chords, and don't your fingers get tired! Just that I come from a different era.....
don't your fingers get tired.......hahahahaha.......you showed him your manly thick hands, all bulging with musicles, from working out in the fields........his all pale and willowy.....couldn't even lift a full glass of beer with those child hands I bet.......kids these days

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

If practice goes well tonight, I'll post up a foo fighters song that we are almost ready to perform live. It's in standard tuning!

I haven't verified any of the names, but here's some that are mentioned on the HC forum:

  • Alex Lifeson
  • Ronnie Wood
  • Eric Clapton
  • Leslie West
  • Michael Schenker
  • Jimmy Page
  • Gary Moore
  • Zakk Wylde
  • David Gilmour

I hope Harmony Central people don`t get paid for their misinformation? I see pinky solos. They need to do their homework!

La villa solo! One of my faves!
