probably about myself and my inability to censor myself from time to time.

when push comes to shove
and then to self destruct
you just don't give a fuck
about anybody else
push it all away
shove it out the road
you just don't give a fuck
and you don't even know

you never thought things through
foretold the consequence
you've done it all before
when will you ever learn
you never even knew
or did you even care
that you could hurt so much
you're oblivious

oblivious
to all around
oblivious
to everyone
push it all away
shove it out the road
you just don't give a fuck
and you don't even know

you never thought things through
foretold the consequence
you've done it all before
when will you ever learn
you never even knew
or did you even care
that you could hurt so much
you're oblivious

oblivious
to all around
you're oblivious
to everyone

I can relate. This could be about a lot of people. I don`t find myself to be that way all the time, in certain situations it`s a good thing but when it comes out foot in mouth it`s embarrassing and shameful to me.

Absolutely ORH! I think this song and lyric will touch a loy of people......I think we all go to that self centered place at some time or another.....and we just don't give a fuck.....well said! The music backs up your message quite well.

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

I like the mixture of a strong lyric with a "gentle" backing. Great vocal performance and I really like the lyrics. Some very nice keys going on there as well.

Are you sure this is not subconsciously written about the impact of Scottish independence on the rest of GB?  :D

Cheers,

Nigel

song is actually about some of the hot topics ive written about in the past and quite recently too, not written to offend but to challenge perceptions,  but i'm sure i've offended.

Know where you're coming from, which was why I enjoyed the lyric. And definitely best to stay away from the independence question!!!

Superb!!! The keys remind of my favourite musician Shawn Smith and I now think I have already made that comparison in some of your previous topics. Great song and great performance!!

That's one sweet hook on the piano part. Superb lyrics, lush production, and a towering vocal performance. Killer song, James.
