"--Way" tune needs singer

Well, no takers so far so after a couple hours of messing with the vocals and effects patchs, mixing etc. this is about the best I can do with it w/o help.

Here is my attempt. The voice structure changed a bit from your performance, I was a little anxious to finish this and didn´t wanted to ear it many times till i sing it exactly like you, hope you don´t mind. After all, this is just kind of a test to see how I fit in your song.

This is a damn good 'test', 

You sing it REALLY well. It's elevated the song a lot, IMO.

WOW, thanks much xicpanad!  Really gives the song a new feel.  Love the harmonys.  Great work! 

I'll have to redo the leads and see how they fit.

This is where separate tracks would help.  Then I can mix in the keyboard-guitar parts from Tony over in the other "Way" post in "post your work" and really put something special together.

I figure that mixing the parts can be as important and artistic as the parts themselves.

Well, if you wan´t to do all those parts and then i´ll sing it again when it´s ready, its fine for me. My voice wasn´t at its best anyway, still with some flu influence.

If you don't have the original vox tracks anymore and feel like singing it again sometime, that'd be great. 

You can just bounce all the voice parts together into one track and export it to mp3 and upload or just email it to me if not too much trouble.  I've got about 3 backing versions now I'd like to add it to and see which works the best.

Here's xicpanad's vocal mix, mixed with Tonys kby and guitar mix from the other thread.

I really like where this is now but since I didn't have the vocals or Tony's leads on separate tracks, the vocals are getting more and more buried since the backing tracks got doubled when I mixed the two.   

Still, it's heads above anything I can do solo!

Maybe X... can resing it for you.  Could you add it to the mix then or would it still be buried?  Don't know much on that stuff.  But I like the way it sounds now also.  But like you said the singing is getting lost. And he does such a good job.  You will figure it out.
