Ricomincerai
Stai coi piedi per terra
Che E' il meglio che sai

Forse una canzone,
non può dire no

E perdo sempre tempo, sulle corde a immaginare

mmm...

Maybe I'll grow older singing up this silly song
Up to now, say I'm searching for the perfect one
What does it all mean - losing time across the strings
What does it all mean - looking what a song can bring

Maybe a green field
Maybe a stone
Maybe a memory
Lost and gone

Maybe a trip
The future to see
Maybe the place
Where you've never been

So you've seen it written or you just have heard it said
That you can feel the power, have the time right in your hand
But it's an illusion, between the city and the sea
There is so much a distance, if you survive the traffic beat

Maybe you will, then,
Start over again, maybe
Feet on the ground
Is the best that you can

Maybe a song
Just can't say a no
Can't change a single thing, even
The perfect one...

The same I've grown older singing up some silly songs
Maybe I am still searching for the perfect one
What does it all mean - losing time across the strings
What does it all mean - looking what a song can bring

Maybe a green field
Maybe a stone
Maybe a memory
Tought lost and gone

Maybe a trip
The future to see
Maybe a place
Where you've never
You've never been
Where you've never been

I've grown older singing up silly songs
Still sing up silly songs
I am searching for the perfect one
Perfect one

thanks friends, you're too kind - and Giada will be happy of these comments! the acoustic guitar is DADGAD based, and I used some N. Drake chords and rolls in a different context.

This is superb - fabulous vocals that are incredibly powerful in places and some lovely guitar playing.  I like the fact you've used some Nick Drake progressions here. I picked up a few hints of John Martyn as well (eg around 55 secs), which is guess is pretty similar to the wonderful Mr Drake anyway!

Superb music and a wonderful performance from both of you. You did well to record that vocal performance as it goes from quiet to incredibly powerful and yet it doesn't clip or lose precision. Well done!

Cheers,

Nigel

thank you Ferryman! you're sure right, cause I know they were somehow friends , or at least respectful to each other. It's time I go listen to John MArtin, also. I go ;-)

Totaly awesome song!  Since I am addicted to drop D, well it adds~~~~  Very crisp playing and chord progressions, and the voice and in italian sure adds depth to it.  After a long pause from the website - this sure is an excellent way to come back and listen...  Better than hot coffee in the arctic in a cold early morning.....
