It's my annual pilgrimage into music recording again.
This time with a song originally written by some friends in the late 1970's, but way too good to lose forever.

Recorded & mixed entirely on a Boss BR-600, except the solo, which was recorded by a friend Pete on a Boss Micro-BR & then imported.

Stunning tune! I browsed the latest songposts by you and it has been long time from the latest...

I can't believe this has been written in the 70's!! Of course, the sounds and production is modern, but the music sounds very fresh to me. Yes, maybe a bit punk/new wave vibe. Great post! Thanks for sharing!

Cool......finally got it to play! I love the big sound.......sort of has a punk/surf vibe going on. The drums and guitars are really good in this. I'm also liking the angry vocals...they work well with the music production. Good update to a song wrote in the 1970's!

Sorry ..My fault, I didn't get the link right to start with. Out of practice I guess  :-[

Thanks, energy is my thing (I don't have too much finesse) & to be compared to The Kaiser Chiefs is flattering indeed :)

Cheers. Indeed the original was late 70's (maybe early 80's at a push). Spot on with the Punk/New Wave angle too.  8)

Thanks, glad I got the link right ... eventually ... I'm particularly happy with the drums. They're a Boss BR-600 drum kit, which I programmed in step time, 'cause it's the only way I know how. I then added room reverb & a bit of delay to make them sound a bit more real. Hopefully it worked :)

Blimey, this is excellent, a real song of it's time, but fantastic raw vibe and feel to it! Some great drum work as well finishes it off nicely...very cool!

Really great song brother! I absolutely love the energy and spaztic feel to the whole production, fabulous drums, great solo. This tune rocks hard and I love it! Turn your pilgrimage into a lifestyle, or a least make another tune soon.

Yep, my thoughts too. It's never been aired in public, so I thought it's time to give it some wings. Thanks :)

Cheers, what I lack in talent, I try to make up for in energy. I've really got to find more time to do this. I'm trying to ... honest  :-[

Thanks. I'm particularly pleased with the drums on this. They seem to drive the song along nicely. Vocals are a bit so-so, but I really need a better microphone, a pop shield or another head!!  ::)
