Hi all, another getting older song I'm afraid but there again we're all moving the same way. Not sure where this came from but has rattled around my head for days and at at last it's recorded, with my usual amount of errors but practise makes perfect. I think as you become a little older and hopefully a little more secure financially you have more time to do want you want with the one you love, what do you do? If you're with the one you love then even Dinner in the Desert would be good. Hope you like.............Willie

Where shall we go, what shall we do
Nobody with us, just me and you.
So many choices, we could fly to the moon
But wherever we go, We'd best make it soon

The years they just fly by, they march on and on
Just seemed like yesterday when we became one
The children have all grown up , they've all left home
But we're still together babe all, on our own.
Chorus
We could go swimming on a beach with white sand
Or sway in moonlight to a tropical band
We could sail the seven seas, land just where we please
But dinner in the desert sounds good to me

I hurt from laughing from jokes told by you
I see you smiling when I tell one to.
So many choices We flew to the moon
But wherever we go we'd best make it soon.

Inst, Chorus, 1st verse, Outro.

A very good ballad Willie! The lyric might be about growing older but I think they also appeal to a fairly wide age group. The lead solo sounds good with the effect and volume swells. I  like the chorus change to the minor chord as well...nicely done!

Is it just me, or is the quality of music here just getting better and better? There is such good stuff here, and this is no exception; simple, emotional and heart felt. It's perfect.

Dinner in the Desert, I can really dig that.

Fantastic.

Very beautiful and melancholic! Well written and performed and I like the clear production. The guitar solo was great! Really good tune!

Were there mistakes?
Not sure I spotted them.

Really like this song. You've got a great voice too.
Was going to ask what recorder you used & then spotted the BR-900 icon.
I've got the lesser BR-600, but it still blows me away what you can do with it.

Very nice

Beautiful song! I'm sure James Taylor would be happy if he'd written it. :)

I´m sorry if this is somehow  a personal question but, hoe olg are you? Just want it to know, cause your voice is so... experienced! really great! I totally identify myself with this kind of music...very gentle and at the same time so emotional! It´s like i´ve been singing this so many times before it was even made! Don´t know if you understand me...

Cheers
