Hey hey hey,
Here's my (1st) submission for Varietyfest. It's been a long time since I heard the original but I've been playing this one solo now for about 5 years so it's become my own I'm sure and even more here. I recorded this in 2 sessions, this morning I laid most of the rhythm tracks and tonight I put down vocals and the guitar solo, mix/mastered, etc.
It's all me, 8 tracks, 2-acoustic guitars , bass, banjo, mandolin, guitar solo, vocals & drums(br900).
Fest On!

Superb!

I agree with Kari, the Banjo and Mandolin sounds awesome and give the song a great depth of tone, your vocals are also excellent too.

Really enjoyed the listen, thanks!

Another good submission Hook! The mando and the banjo gives this more of a down home flavor than the original. Cool vocal also. I think you saw the light in this song....time for another listen.

Holy smokes this is good.  You keep this kind of thing up and you will have my rapt attention with every post of yours.  Top class version in every way.  I am really digging the way you are using your banjo.  Great flipping vocal.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

I don't know the originals! But now I don't have to!!!!

Obviously, love the mando and the banjo, and the solo, and the vox, but my special comment goes to the lovely bass in the back, leisurely grooving with the song! This is the kind of song that playing such relaxing bass makes you 10 years younger!

Great version. That's a killer vocal and I like the all around folky, rustic vibe. Very well done!
