NAMM 2012 starts two weeks from today. I wonder what new goodies Roland will have for us?

Moog Music is introducing a new $600 analog bass synthesizer based on their Taurus bass pedals. I bet that will be awesome.

Migs

I hope they bring out something pretty special soon.
If they don't, I suspect they will lose too many people to computer based recording and sound mods.

I was away at the weekend mucking about on a $280 Fender Mustang II that I have in my holiday house. 20 years ago when I bought my first boss chorus pedal, it would have cost more in today's dollars. All I got was a chorus pedal then - now I get an amp and amp modelling and a bundle of fx without even going to fuse.

Fender announced a couple of interesting items as well. Have been looking for a Baritone solid for a while and not being charmed by the Danelectro, the Blacktop Telecaster Baritone gives me serious GAS

Yeah it just brings a totally different vibe and range. It surprises me Fender doesn't carry a baritone and a 12 string as standard anymore. They did in the eighties (Japanese series) and are very rare on the used guitar market.

I know what you mean, just got a Danelectro 12 string, it really is the only option other than Burns and Rickenbacker and there was no way I could afford a Ricky. The Baritone thing is completely new to me but as you say not many options there either. It's probably easier to get a wider selections of variations in USA i guess??
