with hindsight i'd say joy division where probably the biggest influence on my songwriting so in tribute a new order song tho i think written by ian curtis but recorded after his death.

oh and you know when you think you know a song but you don't well this is a point in case done from memory and a country mile out

I'm not familiar with anything by New Order or Joy Division, so I can appreciate this without bias. It sounds great. Very relaxing. Some interesting keyboard and guitar sounds. The bass sounds like a bass guitar. Do you have one or is that the Juno?

Don't know how I missed this one.

It's a very personal song for me.  I recorded the original off of John Peel in 1981 and it remains one of my all time favorites.  In fact until just now I thought it was a part of the first session they did for Peel which I recorded when it was first broadcast.  Turns out it wasn't in that session (ICB, Dreams Never End, Truth, Senses), but was maybe played on the same show.  That period when the memory of Curtis loomed large over the remaining members is my favorite period of New Order and for me some of the greatest music ever made anywhere.

I love your dreamy take on it, Jim.  Really took me back.
