I got an Ipad for Christmas and so far all my time has been spent on these apps. Really fun and educational (for me). I may finally learn how to read music!

check it out. there's a free version:

There is also Notion which puts an entire orchestra at your fingertips. It has excellent audio samples recorded at Abbey Road by the London symphony Orchestra.

keep it up guys and you are going to make me want one of these things.......I like idea of the IPad being a complete musical/recording device.  Is there a good multitrack recorder app.

Alternate Tunings: CAUTION: your fingers have to be in different places

If you want a multitrack recorder Dave , check out Nanostudio , i bought this when it was cheap , its more money now , but my god , it is amazing , playing the Piano keys would be better on an iPad though , it has everything you would ever need
