Wrote a little country tune and Miss PJ agreed to play bass lead and chorus Vocals
Lyrics
Used to eat our lunch by the old bandstand, Walk to school hand in hand
She was my best friend don't cha know
Went to Prom in  my daddys pickup truck, I wore a suit becuase I couldn't afford a tux
She was so beautiful I decided I would marry her then
Saved up my money from my pay Bought hr a little golden ring ask her to marry me the day

Chorus
What kind of fool do you think I am That I could marry such a man
You live in a old shack down a dirt road
I want a man of wealth and fame to buy me cars and diamond rings
and your just a poor boy who lives on a dirt road

So I went back to my life farming the land and playing at night
But I never forgot the words she said
A old man came to hear me play said I was going to be a big star someday
Sign on the line and I will give you a record deal
So I am out here playing everynight a eight piece band and we are tight but
I'll never forget the word she said

Chorus

Well we were playing out in LA the other day and I saw her sitting in the front of the stage
Cheering me on like I was her greatest fan
She came and saw after the show Said I finally made the big time don't cha know
and she was thinking that Maybe I was the man of her dreams
I told I would call her sometime but you know that was a lie
Because I never forgot the words she said

Life is not about the number of Breathes you take, it is the amount of times your breathe is taken away

What a brilliant concept! I love the story of this song and the back and forth of the vocals works so well. Excellent arrangement and a really nice overall sound, the production really suits the concept. Is this based on a true story....?

Cheers,

Nigel
