Need you tonight remix

Here is a version of a zz top song I did a while ago. I listened to it again the other day and thought it did not sound right, as I have just started playing around with audacity I had to see if it could be mixed better.

The old version sounded too loud and muddy, also the vox were very low (probably lack of confidence making me hide behind the guitars)
I was working with the old tracks and applying compression to try and make them clearer and also adjusted the levels and panning.

Im still a total beginner with the art of mixing, but I suppose it only gets better the more you do!!!

indeed this rocks!  I am a big time ZZ fan and I can say I don't remember this one....mostly because I listened more to their stuff pre Eliminator....I would say the guitar sounds great and the vocals are good.... pretty darn good cover!
