I'm in the process of recording a bunch of old tunes that I neglected all these years. This one's about 14 years old written in Charlottesville, VA, on the UVA campus. I wasn't a student just a bartender having a great time! It's about a house on the hill we called "the black hole"!

This is outstanding. Love that fifties do-wop rock & roll vibe to the strummed guitar part, and I agree on the Elvis Costello comparison. The vocal melody and delivery are spot on. Really superior stuff - and needs more listens / comments!
