I,ve been living too long
Seen too many ways
I,d rather see the best in all
But sometimes it,s just not there

Strength is your stock in trade
What you don,t have you will take  x 2

I,ve seen your eyes
And they staring right through me
You,ve got a hold
With a vice like grip
I,ve seen your kind before
Give it the big one, and we all fall away
Selfish is a word you don,t recognize
You,d rather take, than receive
You got a kick from suffering

Strength is your stock in trade
What you don,t have, you will take   x2

Solo

Strength is your stock in trade
What you don,t have you will take  x2

Make a stand and they will fall
They will bring they,re own downfall   x2

Looked out my old seventies Hohner tele, always been meaning to take her to a repair shop, the wiring is crackly and the pots are all loose and the lead input is held in by carpet tacks. I was working one day, this car pulled up and this guy threw her in the skip, who would throw away a guitar? me never, well anyway I was in after her. I bought a couple of pots and inserted the afore mention carpet tacks.
Here,s a wee rocker with the old Hohner tele.

Sweet god man, I love this one SE.  Damn fine 70's rock, yeah and that good enough for me.  This is going down as my favorite SE song.....way to go.  You really got a fantastic overall sound here, sweet job on the mixing.  My new favorite.  I can't wait to hear this one in the car cranked.  You caught it man, your bass sounds positively delicious.  Good one.

This guy would...

But I think he regrets it now. It's written all over his face.  :)

Hmmm....  oldrottenhead bins a Tele and side effect finds a Tele in a skip. Both live in Scotland. Coincidence?

Now you mention it 64, the resemblance and evidence are there to be seen, dammed by words from his own mouth and he does live in the same city of 250,000, the year, give or take a few is absolutely spot on,in fact I,d say guilty as charged.

By the way love your post 64 ha ha.

Great stuff John, I just love those Tele sounds. Can't beat a Tele for this kind of rhythm infused rock. And she sounds great, as does the whole song. Love the chord sequences in this one, and your vox are excellent. Garbage in, a complete gem out!

Cheers,

Nigel
