Hi folks.  Not been able to get much done lately.  Mostly due to builders and plumbers tramping though our house.  and a demolition derby in the neighbours.  So much noise.  Running into the evening.

But I did manage to squeeze this in.  Of course this is the Fuzz face song.  I tried to get a better version.  And this is as far as i got.

Hopefully all the building work will be done by next week.  Christmas in peace and with everything working I hope.  fingers are crossed.  Haven't been able to get a shower for the last two weeks.  (Sniffs armpits,  Phew).

Anyway,  Here is the new version.  Mostly acoustic
With a bit of midi

Hope it meets with your approval

Regards and Happy Christmas to all.

It's a striking difference from the previous version. I like what you've done with the midi instruments and the arrangement. The vox is definitely buried more here than before, is that one purpose? I think it works but it wasn't what I was expecting at all. It's very interesting to hear the two approaches you've taken to this song.

Must look out the other version to compare, but I,m liking this lots, it all sits together well and the acoustic guitar brings it all together, kinda spooky vox, loved them too, great listen.

Loved it, a very different take. Sounds like the smoky bar version that you'd expect Jacques Brel to perform! Love the subtle vox and the more laid back feel. The midi instruments are a nice touch and this just oozes atmosphere. I really like the guitar work and the overall ambience here.

Cheers,

Many thanks folks.

TC Elliot:
This is very similar to the first attempt I made.  but at the time was not able to get it right.  The other version I tried to fit into the projects Rock theme without it actually being Rock.  This was a little more theatre I think.  I tend to go in that direction quite often.  A frustrated actor probably.  And yes the vox was different - not quite as I wanted it but probably as close to what i envisaged as I can get. :)

Hook - Cheers. :)

Side Effect.  Pleased you like it.  It is a bit spook.  Thanks :)

ORH  Grins.  Cheers ;D

Ferryman -  I appreciate your kind words. ;D :)

SwanSong - Thanks for the listen.  And yes the home is getting there.  It may well be a pleasant place to be again by Christmas day. :)

andycasson - The fairground is a phrase oft used in describing my efforts.  ;) And I like the merry go round analogy  Cheers ;D

It's great to hear this.  Sorry I didn't comment until now!

I love the way this version builds.
