Always loved this song it was my first choice for the festival but I didn't know either tune so I figured the Crows song to be easier, it was. I like the minimalist music approach, 2 guitars 1 rhythm  1 lead (at the end). I just started doing vocal takes and got 3 and put them together afterward. I love the way they're pretty unison, except on the "They've taken all the coal from the ground" that was coincidence but it gave the voice this unity with some small sense of individuality.
That gave me an Idea, I think it would be cool if anyone wanted to record a clean vocal track (use whatever patch you like), and send me an mp3 and I'll take one of my takes and mix in as many others as I get. I really like the unison feel and use the "coal" line above to show individuality, also high little "hey's" and  "oh yeah oh's,  would be good times to play, remember what the tune's about.
I'm will post a guitar only track in the collaboration page area soon. Please don't feel any pressure to be involved, but I think it will sound real cool. I have no desire to synch anything so if they don't match up (badly ) I'll let you know that I'm tossing  it, try again. Feel free to use mine as a guide or record it independently, I'm not really trying to make any limitations I just hear something in my head, your head might sound better!
Rock on!
Oh yea, send them to me either hear if that can happen or at hooksong@yahoo.com. Plain mp3 attachment work best for me. I'm certain I'm not the person for this undertaking but If you send them I will mix!
