CityFest (banner image missing)

My personal contribution to the Cityfest...inspirated by the "eternal city".

It's a jazz arrangement  (very Modern Jazz Quartet style...) of two of the most famous songs dedicated to Rome.

The two songs are "Roma nun fa' la stupida stasera", written in 1961 by Trovajoli, (lyrics by Garinei and Giovannini) for the musical "Rugantino"; and "Arrivederci Roma", composed in 1955 by Ranucci, (again lyrics by Garinei and Giovannini).

Both of them are very, very popular here, no idea if outside Italy too...

Myself on a Washburn J6 electric guitar. Backing tracks: Band in a Box

Enjoy!

delizioso, Alf, it is jazz and you can sing it too, what more one can desire? anche io ero per fare qualcosa su roma, roma capoccia ad esempio, poi ho desistito... ;-) nun je la posso fà! meno male che ci hai pensato tu, con classe!

Roma capoccia? We could make it together, I could make the backing track and then a real Roman like you could sing over it...  ;)
