Change of View is a remastered version off my Jaxonville cd. It's the one and only song I ever wrote on a $25 yard sale Casio keyboard....I just dabble on the keys so don't expect too much from either me or the Casio, lol.

The song is about taking assessment of one's life at a certain point in time. Then with some thought, realizing that some goals will never be met. And in the end coming to the conclusion that it's fine, not such a bad life after all, and the goals were met.

All words and music by Farrell Jackson
Change of View

I've been thinking most of my life
Something big was just around the corner
If I could just navigate the hype
And keep my head above the water

But now my tye dyed is tossed aside
A sign that life is passing by
My bell bottoms don't fit anymore
My memories hang there behind the door

Ooooo Ooooo I could use a change of view

Now I've stopped smoking cigarettes
Got my music on the net
Haven't made my millions yet
But who knows what is next?

Ooooo Ooooo I could use a change of view

I still do some local gigs
But gone are days of making it big
Friends and fans along the way
Still come out and watch me play...hey...hey....

Well I've stopped smoking cigarettes
Got my music on the net
Haven't made my millions yet
But who knows what is next?

Still got a beautiful wife
A responsible son and daughter
Nothing wrong with this life
I dont' need to look no farther

Ooooo Ooooo I don't need a change of view
(Don't need a change of view)
Ooooo Ooooo I don't need a change of view
(Don't need a change of view)

Farrell,
This is just the kind of singing I need on some songs.  I have several tunes left high and dry when I wanted to have someone sing them.  You did a fine job on this one.

phantasm777

nice, kinda reminds me of "1977" a song you might hear on FM radio back then.

Gnasty

This is really good Farrell. I love those lyrics and great recording and playing of everything.

Thanks Vig, phantom, Gnasty, and groundy! I'm glad you enjoyed my short, 3 minute biographical song  :)

Vig - I've pulled one of your songs from the high and dry shore and it's now floating in my Fostex river, lol. I'll send you a PM.

Thanks all for the good comments!

I thank you kindly Regs, Dunny, and Wiley for your good words!

Regs - you are right..it's not over until the fat lady sings or until this old guy stops playing...but that's not in the cards, lol.

Dunny - I think you are correct Dunny.....there's a lot of us out there that have followed this same musical path....and still trekking down that road.

Wiley - I'm pleased that you enjoyed my vocals, harmonies and style.....Thank you!
