Lyrics:

My Home Town.

High flies a flag over my home town
Waiting for the bugle call
Many main streets lie, stark with serenades
What's the purpose of it all?

Low stands the sun over my home town
(The Captain Chaplain to the Town)
Fades away while evening falls
(Prays alone on bended knee)
Caramel-coloured sky, apres everything
(Give us all our daily bread)
Such bread and circus for us all.

Some died like Saints over my home town
(All the young and dispossessed)
Barricades were clearly drawn
(Have no Faith or Thank Yous left)
So stifle fife and drum, give up yesterdays'
(All has been forgot)
Forgotten martyrs without cause.

Deep lies my love under my home town
(Gather not to break my peace)
Waiting for the Angels call
(As you sow so shall you reap)
Why brave a world that's buried anyway
(The end shall be the end)
In the end chance help us all.

And so help run the Skull & Crossbones down
For high flies a White flag over My Home Town.

Excellent lyrics here, very good writing. It's got a really nice feel and I like the lush guitar sounds in the production. A very well put together piece of music, nice job!

Cheers,

Nigel
