One of the best soul singers ever.
His recording of 'Out on the Floor' is considered to be the epitome of Northern Soul (in the UK).
As a former DJ I thank Dobie for the crowded dancefloors. R.I.P.

Don't think I ever heard any of his work and it's a bit before my time, but after listening to that I'm feeling nostalgic and sad too.
