Here's some reggae for you (haven't seen much of that on this forum!). It's a 'Soundclick' collaboration between Bodie Sickler and myself. Bodie wrote and performed all the music, and I wrote the vocal and lyrics. It also sounds like he added some professional backing singers too.

Not sure how much of this was done on the BR, but my lead and backing vocals certainly were.

It's not my usual kind of thing (it's far too polished for my usual efforts!), but it was fun being involved in this level of professionalism - if only fleetingly.

p.s. None of the lyrics are true. I have never drank rum or leered at girls in the caribbean  :D

p.p.s. I had to trim the file to fit it on here... there's more guitar on the full version

Dam another beautifully done piece. how the heck do you get the bass so clear and full yet mixes perfectly without drowning out anything else... man it sounds amazing. WTB a lesson in mixing please.

My goodness me guys. This is a brilliantly written, performed and produced piece. It's going on the IPod. Have you stuck it onto SoundClick?

It is just terrific.

Bodie has re-mixed a final version, and it's on Soundclick. It should hopefully do OK on the Ska Chart, as the instrumental version of it got to number 5.

I can't claim any credit for the production quality or musicianship on this one - it's all Bodie. I just came up with the vocal and sang it  :)

Makes a change from being a complete control freak!!!

Greeny

It's up to number 6 in the Ska charts. A few more click-thrus please! Even if you don't listen to it, lol.

p.s. For all the new members on the site, this isn't my usual musical style  :D

Very enjoyable.  A well planned and played presentation. Great job with the arranging and mixing. The backing vocals are especially good.  Way to go Tim and Bodie!  :)

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Great work and nicely produced. Excellent sounding track, amazing what you can do with the BR.
