I used to have a bird feeder on my balcony in Maryland.

After observing birds for a year or two, I came to this conclusion: Birds are assholes.

They are greedy, mean, hostile, bullies on the wing. Once in awhile I found myself wanting to yell, There's enough seed for all of you. Knock it off, jerks.

Oddly, I find myself wanting to yell the same thing at my stepchildren sometimes.

On the other hand, this is a beautiful piece of music. I'm reminded of some of the ethereal gamelan and violin experiments of King Crimson.
