Thought I would have a crack at this one, but quite honestly it's driving me mad...I've had enough!!!
I dropped it to G but it's right at the top range of my voice, and tried farting around with the tunings and blah blah blah........anyway, Bono would probably kill me if he heard it!

post script: I don't believe it (in true Victor Meldrew), this is the first time I did not listen to the wav file to check it, and low and behold half the sequenced drums are missing!!! So Fixed (only taken 5 attempts, no idea what Sonar's issue is)
Anyway, it's fixed...aaahh!

This is great!  It's got a real dreaminess to it... to me this is amazing!

Well done Andy - really enjoyed that one (although I didn't get up and dance). Always been one of my favourite U2 tracks and you did it justice. Bono does have quite a vocal range - I've been trying a couple of other U2 songs myself as I really want to post more on here than I have been but its definitely hard to hit some of the notes.  You managed it really well on this.

Great version Andy, I am sure Bono would love it and your vocal sounds very suited to it.

This songs takes me back to being 14 years old in 1983..I used to play this album and "Live at Red Rocks" constantly at high volume in my bedroom..probably drove my parents nuts!

Cracking cover!

Haven't heard the War album for many years, but I remember I used to really like it.  First time I heard the original was on New Years Day 1983 (it was the first song I heard if I remember rightly).

This is one of the songs I would have attempted for this fest.  You've done a cracking job with it, Andy.  Some of those high notes are really challenging.  Love the guitar and piano work.
