Here is a song about James' home city - Glasgow, and he will be the first to tell you that it's not a map, from here to there via another place, but none are trully connected.

We try to cross the Boulevard
The sunlight in our eyes,
The traffic never seems to end
That's the story of our lives.

We head out in to town
Willing the red lights to green
Round the Canniesburn Toll
And on to Anniesland.
Back onto the Boulevard
The sun still in our eyes,
The snow's still falling
The sun low in the sky

We skirt around Finnieston
And hit the ground running
Dive across Dumbarton Road
As the traffic heaves a sigh
There's a band on at Dr Thirsty's
There's a party at the Clyde
i'm sure I know who's on the door
We hit the ground running

we try to cross the Boulevard
The sunlight in our eyes
The traffic never seems to end
That's the story of our lives.

all the places are connected , you can get to canniesburn toll via the boulevard but you would most likely go via anniesland, so then do a complete circuit round the canniesburn toll and back onto anniesland. so it can be done.

this one started ages ago when fh sent me two entirely seperate pieces of music and i cut n pasted them together and sang pretty much what you hear over the top. but sir harry insisted on doing it alll from scratch manually or you could have heard this weeks ago. oooooh ma puppies wur straining.

Great job guys! Sounds like Peter Gabriel and Tony Levin. I just love that bass.

And what is this sound? There seems to be a vocal that sounds something like "oo-payay"? Whatever it is, I like it.

guys this is oustanding! Real painting a picture with music, I agree with 64 about the peter gabriel feel.. just wonderful! Jim your vox are spot on, and that bass tone is fantastic Flash, and I am also wondering what is that sample(?) keeping the time? It's awesome

There is plenty of atmosphere in the track (not the Russ Abbott kind ;D), I can hear Gabriel too although I do find you're voice distinctive Jim now I have listened to a number of your tracks.

The music is superb, piano at intro really stood out and the bass sounds sweet!

That's the sound of a Roland TD9 after it's been through masses of reverb, eq and other processing. I'm not sure exacly what has been done to it at the moment, I'll have to have a look when I get home.

The bass is my Jazz through a bass pod, the old style kidney shaped one. Probably Adam and Eve patch, no cab and a bit of compression.

The rest is done on a Yamaha Clavinova played live and a Korg R3.
