AYCLB was the album where I got off the boat... U2 stated outright they were no longer innovating... and Radiohead took U2's thrown with Kid A.

That's not to say they didn't write some great songs...

And this is an amazing interpretation... more powerful than the original in my opinion.

This is superb Geir, you have given a great song a real intimate individual interpretation. The quality of the recording, as with all your songs, is off the scale.

AYCLB is one of my favourite U2 albums, the opening six or seven tracks on it are killer with this being one of them.

Legend has it that this was the last song Joey Ramone heard on his death bed... Bono brought in their recording and played it for him.

I heard this too FF, pretty amazing for Bono as he was a huge Ramones fan.

This is very emotional singing and playing Geir! I've not listened to many U2 songs....never an album...just the hit songs that had radio air play. So most of the songs in the U2 fest are new to my ears....just like this one. I like your take on it but I have nothing to compare it too...which is good I think.. I get to hear them for what they are...good songs and your performance is excellent!
