Ok.....so I started recording on my new Micro BR and have the rythm track recorded perfectly.

My problem is, I need to record the lead guitar next, but I want to be able to record it along with the track 1, so i can get the timing right. Cause right now when i record track 2, i can only hear whats recording on track 2. I need track 1 to be playing in the background.....   ???

Hello!

It seems like you're trying to make a lead track on TRACK1 V2. This way you'll not hear what you have recorded before. Try to choose V1 on TRACK1 and record on V1 TRACK2. It shoudn't be a problem.
If you still have some problems check this topic:

The second movie shows everything.

Hope it helps!

Whenever you press the Play button (or the Record button, then the Play button), all four tracks will play back. If you can't hear a previously-recorded track, it's because you have the track level set too low (page 33 of the Micro BR manual, 3rd edition), the currently-selected v-track for that track is empty (page 40), or the Volume wheel on the left side of the BR is set to minimum.

You can only play back one of the eight v-tracks for each mixer channel (TR1-TR4) at a time. So, if you record your rhythm guitar to TR1v1, then record your lead guitar to TR1v2, it will be impossible to play them both together because they are both on mixer channel TR1. Also, you won't be able to hear the rhythm guitar while you're recording the lead guitar because the v-track for TR1 is set to 2 and the rhythm guitar is on v-track 1 of TR1. What you need to do instead is record the rhythm guitar to TR1v1 and the lead guitar to TR2v1, for example. Then you will be able to monitor the rhythm guitar from TR1 while recording your lead guitar on TR2.
