This is "Mofo" off U2 Pop, their final innovative album as far as I'm concerned.
Bono said this one song sums up his whole life.
The band said it contains his most personal lyrics yet, as his mom died when he was young.

Enjoy!

Pop was the R&H of my generation of U2 fans, in that they alienated much of their audience with this release.  I loved it because the lyrics were good and the music was eclectic.  Each song had a distinct personality.  For me it was their creative peak.

I don't know the song either (the last U2 album I bought was War in 1984), but I LOVE this, Trevor.

See, I bought BOY in 1982 and U2 were MY band, nobody else heard of the them.  Then in the mid 80's they went global and all these d#ck-heads in pixie boots and snow-washed jeans and mullets were into them.  I went down the Goth route then.  I did see them a few years ago in Cardiff Millenium Stadium and must admit they were awsome live.

Anyway, I love this version, all the better for not knowing the original.

This sounds a lot like me - I kind of lost interest in U2 right around 'War' and never really got back into them again, but this song sounds terrific in your hands, Trevor! Really punchy sound and vocals, and great production. Well done, sir.  8)
