U2 Fest - "Tryin' to throw your arms around the world" Geir covers U2

I was planning on doing "Who's gonna ride your wild horses" (and I still might do that, but don't let that stop anyone else doing it), but this one from "Achtung baby" came to me first.

It's done LitLR, just me and my morgan acoustic guitar recorded on the BR800.


For those with a br800: I used a modified P11 (turned off the compression on the vocals) while recording and used the Acoustic preset for mastering.

Wow.  This is really impressive.  The energy is incredible.  What a beautiful job.

Is more emotive than the original.  It's very Geir, but also very U2 as well.

Did you play and sing at the same time?  How did you record the reverb on the vocals without reverb on the guitar?

Pro live quality.  There are places all over the world tonight where people are getting paid to play in front of an audience... and they are nowhere near this good.  A very enjoyable listen.

Love it!!  Excellent performance and recording.  Super modulation ... loud then soft, etc.  The cut out guitar to soft vocal for the last few words is perfect.
