my guitar was sleeping
Time:
0:00
Volume:

so i woke it up, with a drum track from one of my other songs.

well i picked up my guitar
and held it in my hands
i didn't know what to do with it
it had been so long
it took all day to tune it
the strings where all drawn
the callousses on my fingers
well they where long gone
i don't think i remember
how to hold it right
well let's just plug it in
and see what happens

well i just started slowly
i tried to find a groove
i couldn't change from chord to chord
cos my fingers would not move
the signals from my brain
back to my hands
too much interference
too much in the way
in the way
there was too much interference in the way
............................
..........................

my guitar was sleeping
my guitar was sleeping
my guitar was sleeping
my guitar.........................

well come on let's wake it
let's shake it up
let's kick the dust off
and see what it's got
well i just started slowly
i tried to find a groove
i couldn't change from chord to chord
cos my fingers would not move
my guitar was sleeping
my guitar was sleeping
my guitar was sleeping
lets wake it up.....................................

Nice one ORH, like the line, "Well lets just plugged it in and see what happens" cause that's what I do every time I come up with a tune. Hardly ever have a plan, probably shows, enjoyed the track and your guitar playing too!
