looking at the upcoming festivals i saw that songs about cities seems to be well ahead in the polls a strange choice i thought, also strange is i have been involved in two songs about cities recently, one is still a work in progress and may take a while to be completed and this one here.

lost in the city
a face in the crowd
that no one might notice
or see
no not undercover
or trying to hide
just another leaf
from the tree
just one individual
the same as all others
each perfectly formed
and unique
they try to be different
from one and another
and maybe stand out from the crowd

that runs down the window
again and again
does anyone notice
the path that it takes
and join in it's journey
when you look closer
so many together
no one is really alone
try to be similar
to one and another
and maybe a part of the crowd
