hic burp fart  ::) ::)

You'll be sorry that you asked
you'll be sorry that you said
you'll be wishing very soon
that we can knock it on the head

now i've started I can't stop
there's nothing anyone can do
now i'm running and i'm off
strumming idiotic blues

there's a corner in my head
there's a corner in my mind
i've a melancholy side
i'm a sentimental soul

but when I get so far down
I always pick myself back up
that's half the fun of it
there's so much luv in all of the black

there's so many colours
there's so many hues
there's so many shades
and not forgetting all the blues

so when I reach for my guitar
you should head for the hills
strumming blindly
on the idiotic blues

You'll be sorry that you asked
you'll be sorry that you said
you'll be wishing very soon
that i knock it on the head

but now i've started I can't stop
there's nothing anyone can do
strumming blindly
on the idiotic blues

As ever it,s not about the instruments with ORH it,s about the song, which is the most important thing, loved it big time!!

I really, really really, don't know how you do it. You just do it and it works.  Even when you probably don't know what you're doing.  ::)  How can that be....?   :D

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

I agree with all said. Those are some great lyrics and the vibe and melody are totally hypnotic. I'm digging this one a lot.

Greeny

As we all know here, ORH can make a song out of nothing with anything that comes to hand. That's a songwriting talent that has nothing to do with the price / spec / quality of the equipment. If anyone heard this without knowing the back story, they wouldn't know it was a Woolies guitar, or care what chords you were playing. It sounds just fine. A wide and expansive tone that fills the song nicely. I like the deadpan vocals very much, and the whole song too. As always, lyrically sharp and interesting. Very nicely done indeed!

Farrell Jackson

Nice with a different take on the blues ORH! I think you have strummed blindly into a good song....dig the lyric!
