Many thanks to Ronnie, PJ, Alex and Jim for the fine vocals. There are actually seven vocal tracks in this mix - three by Ronnie, two by PJ, and one each from Alex and Jim. I had hoped to feature a different vocalist in each verse but I ran out of time and wanted to get this posted before midnight GMT. I plan to continue working on it for a day or two and will re-post it when it's finished. So, anyone who might be still working on a vocal for this can still send it to me and I'll include it in the final post.

Best wishes for a happy and healthy new year to all.

Is there a later version yet 64. ???

Not yet. I keep getting sidetracked. But I have done a lot more work on it and, with any luck, I think I might be able to finish it today.

Sorry for taking so long to finish this. Here is the final mix of "Auld Lang Syne". Each verse features a different singer. Except I only had four singers for five verses, so Ronnie sings two verses.

Verse 1: Alex (groundy)
Verse 2: Ronnie (Ronniejm)
Verse 3: The Andrews Sisters...  er, I mean P.J. (wiley) triple-tracked  ;)
Verse 4: Ronnie (Ronniejm)
Verse 5: Jim (oldrottenhead)

At Ronnie's suggestion, I inserted a short guitar bit after the second chorus just to break up the long stretch of continuous vocals. Unfortunately, this introduced a slight glitch at the start of P.J.'s verse which I wasn't able to fix (sorry PJ).

Again, many thanks to Ronnie, PJ, Alex and Jim for lending their voices to my project.

Missed this because I mainly hang around the originals board, but this is a fab collab. Great idea 64G and hugely enjoyable. The harmonizing is great, and some lovely vocal performances. Belated Happy New Year to you all!!!

Cheers,

Nigel

Loved the vocals - great job to all you guys. Killer vocal harmonies PJ!

I just noticed that this song is almost 8 minutes long! I doesn't feel it, just whizzes right by.

Great job everybody - it came out terrific. I really liked the harmonies, including the guitar harmonies.

64G, sorry I missed sending in - came up with a cold and I couldn't finish adequately to meet the window of time available.
