It's time to vote for our next two festivals which will run from November 1 to December 31. Voting starts now and runs for 5 days. You can change your vote any time until the closing of the poll on October 30th. To do so, click "Remove vote" to cancel your previous vote, then vote again.

This poll is for the "Theme/Genre" festival. There is a separate poll for the "Artists/Covers" festival here:

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=12684.0

Please vote in both polls.

Ambient Minimalism - Soundscapes which emphasize sound textures/colour/timbre rather than melody or chord progressions. As Brian Eno said, "Ambient Music is intended to induce calm and a space to think." Music in the style of artists such as Brian Eno, Terry Riley, etc.

HalloweenFest - Songs about Halloween, monsters, ghosts, vampires, witches, horror, etc.

As always, songs for the Theme/Genre festival can be either originals or covers.

We will also be having our annual YuleFest, but it won't start until later in November.

Songs about Cities is looking strong. Whats the rule on this one, does the song have to have then city name in the title or can we do songs with the city names somewhere in the song??

The song title needn't contain the name of a city. The song just has to be about cities. Not necessarily a specific city. It could be about cities in general or an un-named city (The Lovin' Spoonful's "Summer in the City" and Petula Clark's "Downtown" come to mind).
