Tangled Wires

Once again Nelson, you don't disapoint, I think I could listen to a song of yours every day and never tire of the shear quality of your song writing and performance.

Loving the way the song picks up tempo in the chorus, an unexpected treat.

There is always so much soul and feeling in your vocal delivery and that is evident once again here, just pure class.

Whilst I am sure most of us would like to hear more from you, it kind of makes for a more special anticipation when you do post a new one

Hey guys
Thanks to all for taking the time to listen and for your kind words.

As for the vocals, I'm still pushing myself. I'm taking baby steps to improve my range and my over all vocal
control.
Not trying to become a crooner, just more controlled.

A smooth transition from verse to chorus didn't work for on this one. Likely because of the difference in tempo between the two. The more abrupt transition from verse to chorus seemed to provide a more dramatic entrance for the more firey chorus.

I hope this post finds everyone in good health and spirites.

You guys Rock!!!

Wow.  This is my new favorite Nelson song!  You've really taken to a new level, instrumentally.  The guitar work is tasteful and well performed, and I love the arrangement and instrumentation.  Just enough to compliment those famous Nelson lyrics.  Personally, I really like the transitions.  The pauses are very effective.  I think this is your best vocal work, especially considering the background vocals.

Good work, buddy.  Glad to see you're still making the magic.

Wow is right,buddy.
It's been awhile.
I hope all is well with you and the family.
Well, I'm still insearch of that one great song and having a blast in the process.
I hope you are still writing and playing.
I don't know if you remember but you turned me on to Songcrafters a couple years back.
Believe it or not in all that time I haven't found anyone in my area that shares my taste in music.
Not that I spend much time looking any more.

So this site was quite a gift my friend.

You're a wonderful storyteller, Nelson.  :) And the exquisite music here and the powerful, emotion-laden vocals really pull at the heart. Just a beautiful song, full stop.  :)

Honour the earth. Without it, we'd be nowhere.

Life is too important to take seriously.

Well, my goodness Donna.
You R 2 kind. :)

But I'll take it coming from a true lyricist, such as yourself.

Thank you for lending an ear and the kind words.

I'll put them in my back pocket because undoubtedly in a few weeks I'll listen to it for maybe the 200th time and hear nothing but the flaws.  :)
