Early problems - saving song settings

What I want to do seems very straight-forward, but I can't get the Br to do it!

I want to load up an MP3 backing track, select the effects patch, make some adjustments to the patch and various volumes. So far (with some help) I have managed this. It this point I want to save the lot as a song for future work. I can't work out how to do this. If I use the utility menu all I get are the options to edit, delete etc the MP3.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here as the manual is not very clear.

Cheers

You can save the current song settings by holding down the STOP button and pressing the RECORD button (see page 60 of the Micro BR manual). But this usually isn't necessary as the song settings are saved automatically whenever you switch screens.

If you want to record a new song without over-writing the current song, follow the procedure for creating a new song on page 28 of the Micro BR manual. If you later want to return to your first song, follow the procedure on page 26. At step 5 of that procedure, use the VALUE [-]/[+] buttons to step through the list of songs until you find the one you want. You should give your songs meaningful names so that they're easier to find in that list. To change the name of a song, follow the procedure on page 59 of the Micro BR manual.

Thanks for that. If I do as it says on page 60 will the mp3 data be saved, or will I have to load that separately?
