This new drum machine app from Arturia looks interesting.

https://www.arturia.com/products/ipad-synths/ispark/overview

US $9.99
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/arturia-ispark/id1045383182?mt=8

UK £7.99
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/arturia-ispark/id1045383182?mt=8

Unfortunately, it only works on 64-bit iPads.
"iSpark requires a 64-bit iPad (iPad Air, iPad Air 2 or later, iPad Mini 2, 3, 4 or later, iPad Pro or later) and iOS 8 or later."

Here are a couple of videos.

And there are a bunch of tutorials here:

If you happen to have a SparkLE (Mike), you can connect it to iSpark on your iPad.

Boss is expected to announce new iPhone and iPad apps that emulate the BR-80 and BR-800. They look pretty awesome in the leaked photos. Unfortunately, no further information is available at this time.

It would be cool if they did make such apps, especially if they made it possible to use the physical devices available as input devices (a request I sent to Boss a while ago).... but I guess both is a bit too much to ask at this date ::)
